Hey there!!! I am getting super excited as bridal hair & makeup trials are about to really, really pick up. We have met with some really fabulous brides already this year, and I am so excited for all of the new trends this Spring & Summer & how creative our brides are allowing us to be.

So lets talk about preparing for your hair and makeup trial. First of all, I know it is exciting and you want to book it right away before you have any hair accessories, or even your veil. Speaking from experience, your hair & makeup trial will be much more productive if you come prepared. The reason we recommend wearing white, having a series of hair accessory options, bringing your jewelry and your veil is because you will be happy you did! When you come with none of those things in hand it really isn’t a good example of how you will look that day. In order to really get the full picture, all of those above mentioned items are important. Also, you don’t want to have to schedule another trial because you jumped the gun. If you book it a year ahead of your wedding you will more than likely change your mind which will just confuse you and cause unnecessary stress.

For all of my fellow Pinterest addicts out there, starting a board dedicated to hair & makeup inspiration for the big day is a must when it comes to giving us a feel for your likes & dislikes at our meeting. Try to choose photos that show a similar hair color and texture to your hair. I know it is hard because we all tend to gravitate towards what we don’t have, but it will give you a realistic view of what to expect. If you think the style may require more length, or density that you do not have, we can help you choose clip in extensions so that we can achieve the style of your dreams. It is amazing what you can do with just a little bit of help from fabulous extensions like the ones from Bellami! {We even have our own coupon code you can use}.

Last but not least, we want to see and hear all about your dress, the colors of your wedding, the bridesmaids dress style & color, and your flowers. This helps us as artists envision the vibe you are going for and what we create will better compliment everything else involved. After all, this will be super important for photos! This time of year always results in me reflecting back on all of the memories I gained throughout wedding season. Now that everything is winding down, and talks of 2016 weddings commence, I can’t help but feel super grateful. I don’t use the word grateful lightly, but rather strongly and passionately. It is a feeling I feel within my soul especially when it comes to family, or my business. As I sit here with over 75 handwritten thank you cards from my brides this year, I can’t help but think how they actually took the time after the wedding was over to not only leave us reviews online, but also to mail us an extra thank you note to let us know they appreciate us. I cannot express how grateful I am for each and every one of them. I keep them in my studio, and my clients and brides get to read them when they come visit.

When we are going through the planning process for each of our brides, and plan their morning, it is of utmost importance to us that everything goes seamlessly and perfectly. From making the schedules, to perfecting the hair & makeup trial, to hanging with your loved ones on your special day, and placing that veil on your hair before we leave, every little detail counts. We care tremendously about making our bride feel like the most beautiful woman in the world on her wedding day! It makes us feel so great & grateful to know that you all appreciate that.
